Grand Canyon, Arizona

Two week West Coast road trip across Utah (Zion & Bryce) and Arizona (Page, Sedona, & Grand Canyon). Get the $60 National Park Pass. Fly into Vegas & rent a car. Get groceries at Walmart in Vegas. On you go!

• Zion & Bryce: 5 days (2 hikes in Zion, 2 hikes in Bryce, 1 ATV Excursion in Kanab)
• Page: 1.5 days
• Sedona: 3 days
• Grand Canyon: 1 day

• Road Runners Roost: we stayed in a remote log cabin near the south rim of the Grand Canyon. We went to the grocery store to cook all meals in our house. It was fun to gaze at stars in the night and be totally off the grid for the last few nights of our trip. 

• Reminder to get the National Park pass for $60 
• Park in the Gran Canyon visitor center and walk to Mather's viewpoint. There's also a viewpoint just to the left of it that had even better views. 
• We then did the south Kaibab hike (need to jump on the free shuttle to get there). We walked all the way down to "ooh aah point" which is like 3/4 of a mile down. Very pretty! Reminder: it's very easy on the way down but don't go too far because the return will be hard all the way uphill. All in, this took us about 1 hour to do. 
• We then got on another free shuttle to Powell Point: my favorite viewpoint of Powell, Hopi, and Mohave (but worth seeing all of them). Really pretty pics at Powell stope. Note: you could rent an electric bike in Bright Angel and bike along Hermit. 
• We then found a path from Mohave and walked along the rim to the Abyss Stop and got back on the shuttle to go home. T
