    January

    • Polar Bear Swim: Takes place on New Year's Day, where participants take a plunge into the icy waters of Coney Island. Many find this swim exhilarating and refreshing. 
    • Pier 17’s Cozy Winter Cabins: These heated cabins are popular attraction during the winter months. Get food/drinks from a nearby bar while staying warm in the cabins.
    • NYC Restaurant Week: Offers diners some of NYC's best restaurants at discounted prices. Restaurants offer prix-fixe menus, so you can sample a variety of cuisines.   
    • NYC Broadway Week: Can get discounted tickets to some of the best Broadway shows. Great opportunity to experience the magic of Broadway for a cheaper cost.  

    February

    • NYC Fashion Week: Showcases the latest trends in fashion. The event attracts top designers, models, and fashion enthusiasts from all over the world. 
    • New York City Beer Week: A week to celebrate the craft beer scene in NYC. Features tastings, tap takeovers, and other special events hosted by local breweries and bars.
    • Empire State Building Run Up: An annual race where participants run up the stairs of the Empire State Building. One of the most challenging and unique races in the world. 
    • Bumper Cars on the Ice in Bryant Park: A great family-friendly winter activity where visitors can ride bumper cars on the ice rink in Bryant Park. 
    • Super Bowl Sunday at a Bar in NYC: Super Bowl Sunday is a big event in NYC, should pop by the Ainsworth, Brother Jimmy's, Sidebar, Blue Haven, or 310 Bowery. 

    March

    • New York City Half Marathon: One of the largest halfs in the world, starts in Prospect Park & ends in Central Park. Takes runners through several iconic neighborhoods.  
    • Big East Tournament: A college basketball tournament that takes place in MSG in early March. A popular event across client entertainment or night out with friends. 
    • NYC Winter Wine & Food Festival: Features wine tastings and food pairings from some of the city's top restaurants and chefs. Great way to sample NYC's finest wine.
    • Celebrate St Patrick’s Day in NYC:  A really fun day in NYC with a parade along Fifth Ave in Midtown. Celebrate at Molly's Pub, The Chester, The Dead Rabbit, or WXOU.

    April

    • Yankees & Mets Season Openers: The Yankees and Mets typically have their season openers in April. Mark your calendars for a home opener or regular season game! 
    • Tribecca Film Festival: Founded by Robert De Niro and Jane Rosenthal, the Tribeca Film Festival is a world-renowned film festival that takes place in April. 
    • Attend Smorgasburg: A weekly food festival in Brooklyn on weekends from April through October. Features over 100 food vendors offering a wide range of cuisines. 
    • Women’s Half Marathon in Central Park: A popular annual race that takes runners through the scenic park and offers stunning views of the city skyline. 

    May

    • NYRR Brooklyn Half: An annual half-marathon race that takes runners through the borough's neighborhoods and landmarks, including the iconic Coney Island boardwalk.
    • 5 Boro Bike Race: An annual cycling event on the first Sunday of May and is a 40-mile, traffic-free ride thru all five boroughs of NYC - Manhattan, the Bronx, Queens, Brooklyn, and Staten Island. 
    • Outdoor Bars on the West Side Highway Open: As the weather warms up, several outdoor spots including Grand Banks and The Drift Inn open on 5/1 for the season.  
    • Summer Stage (Concerts in Central Park): A series of free outdoor concerts that takes place in Central Park that kick off on May and end in September. 
    • Shakespeare in the Park: An annual outdoor theater festival that presents free performances of Shakespeare's plays in Central Park. Lasts through Aug
    • Chill at the Mini Backyards at Pier 17: Offers mini-backyards with lounge chairs and games that's perfect for enjoying the waterfront views in the Seaport District.  
    • Go to Coney Island: A popular destination in the summer months, with its amusement park, boardwalk, and beach attracting visitors from all over the city.  
    • The Five Borough Art Tour: Offers a self-guided tour of art studios and galleries in all five boroughs of the city. Fun to discover new artists & explore NYC's vibrant art scene. 

    June

    • Summer Concerts at the Rooftop at Pier 17: Offers a series of outdoor concerts featuring popular musical acts and stunning views of the city skyline. Lasts thru Sep
    • Annual Hamptons Pickleball Classic: Annual tourney in the Hamptons and features some of the top pickleball players from around the country. 
    • Bryant Park Summer Movies: Hosts a free outdoor movie screening series throughout the summer months, featuring classic and contemporary films. 
    • Gov Ball Music Festival: The Gov Ball Music Festival is a three-day music festival that takes place on Randall's Island, featuring a diverse lineup of musical acts.  
    • Museum Mile Club:  On one evening in June, several museums along Fifth Avenue in the UES open their doors for free to the public as part of the Museum Mile Festival. 

    July

    • Summer Share House: Many New Yorkers head out of the city during the summer months to rent a share house in the Hamptons or Jersey Shore.  
    • NYC Restaurant Week: A two-week event in July (and  January), offering diners discounted prix-fixe menu experiences at some of NYC's best restaurants.  
    • July 4th in NYC
    • Watch the Fireworks at Pier 17:  offers a great view of the fireworks displays  
    • Go to Nathan’s Hot Dog Eating Contest: Fun July 4th event in Coney Island, where competitors vie to see who can eat the most hot dogs in 10 minutes. 
    • Start of Free Fitness Classes at Pier 17: Offers free fitness classes throughout the summer months, including yoga and HIIT classes, overlooking the city's skyline. 

    August

    • Sign Up for SNL For the Year: If you're looking to snag a seat for an SNL broadcast on Saturday at 11:30pm or a full dress rehearsal at 8pm, you're in for a challenge. These tickets are some of the most difficult to obtain for any TV show in New York City. Your best chance is to enter the season's ticket lottery held in August. To participate, send an email to snltickets@nbcuni.com during the month-long lottery window.  
    • Seltzer Tasting at Seltzerland: A popular event allowing visitors to taste a wide variety of seltzers from different brands and enjoy live entertainment and activities.  
    • Put Your Crew on a Cycle Boat: NYC Cycle Boats is a fun 90 min BYOB experience cycling the NY Harbor while enjoying drinks and music with friends.

    September

    • US Open: A major event in Flushing Meadows, Queens where tennis fans from around the world come to watch top players compete in the Grand Slam tournament. 
    • NYC Fashion Week: An event that showcases latest trends in fashion as designers from around the world present their collections to buyers, editors, & influencers.  
    • NYC Century: A bike ride where participants can choose to ride 15, 35, 55, 75, or 100 miles through the city and enjoy scenic views along the way. 
    • Free Broadway Performance at Bryant Park: A free outdoor concert series every Thurs in Sept with Broadway performances from some of the most popular shows. 
    • Resys Open Post LDW for Christmas Dinner at Rolf’s: While not an official event, Rolf's German Restaurant in Gramercy Park is known for its extravagant Christmas decorations that go up in September and stay through the holiday season. Reservations for Christmas dinner at Rolf's often fill up quickly after Labor Day.  

    October

    • Blue Moon Burger Bash at Pier 86:  Hosted by award-winning TV host Rachael Ray, this event features over 25 of NYC's top burger offerings with beer, wine and spirits. 
    • Rangers Opener: The NY Rangers typically play a home opener in Oct at MSG 
    • Knicks & Nets Opener: Similarly, the NY Knicks and Brooklyn Nets usually have their home openers in Oct at MSG and Barclays stadium. 
    • West Village Halloween Parade: An annual event that takes place on Halloween night. It is known for its creative costumes, live music, and festive atmosphere. 
    • Food Network New York City Wine & Food Festival: Features tastings, seminars, and other events hosted by some of the world's top chefs and food personalities. 
    • Taste of Seaport: An annual food festival that takes place in the historic South Street Seaport district. It features tastings from some of the neighborhood's top restaurants. 
    • Harry Potter: A Forbidden Experience Pop Up: This pop-up experience allows Harry Potter fans to immerse themselves in the world of the beloved book and movie series. 

    November

    • NYC Marathon Sunday: Marathon Sunday is a big day in NYC whether you're running or not. The entire city comes out to support, spectators organize brunches, cheering squads, after parties etc. So much energy in the city this day!  
    • Haymakers for Hope: This charity boxing event features amateur boxers raising money for cancer research. It's also a scene with a fun crew of spectators every year.
    • Thanksgiving in NYC
      • Macy’s Thanksgiving Parade: A beloved tradition, featuring giant balloons, floats, marching bands, and performances. 
      • Prospect Park Turkey Trot: This 5-mile race occurs on Thanksgiving morning, with runners and walkers of all levels participating. 
    • Holiday Markets Open: Various locations feature holiday markets: Union Square Holiday Market, the Columbus Circle Holiday Market, & Grand Central Holiday Fair. 
    • The Bank of America Winter Village Opens: Featuring an ice skating rink, holiday shops, and festive food and drinks. 
    • George Balanchine’s The Nutcracker Opens at the NYC Ballet: This holiday classic ballet opens in November at the New York City Ballet. 
    • NYC Comedy Festival: The New York Comedy Festival takes place in November, featuring stand-up comedy shows and events with well-known comedians. 
    • NYC Chocolate Festival: This annual festival celebrates all things chocolate with tastings, demonstrations, and workshops. 

    December

    • Rockefeller Tree Lighting: Marks the start of the holiday season in NYC. The tree lighting ceremony takes place in late Nov or early Dec and attracts thousands. 
    • Jingle Ball at MSG: A holiday concert featuring some of the biggest names in music. 
    • Mariah Carey All I Want for Christmas is You Concert: Mariah's holiday concert  
    • Christmas Spectacular Starting the Rockettes: A festive dance performance 
    • Santacon: An event for the younger crowd, dress up as Santa Claus and visit bars 
    • Dinner at Rolf’s: The most festively decorated holiday restaurant in NYC
    • Relax at the Best Winter Rooftop in NYC with Fire Pits, Blankets, & Glass Houses:   Many rooftop bars transform into winter wonderlands during the holiday season
    • Ice skating 
      • The Rink at Rockefeller Center: An iconic ice rink located in Midtown surrounded by the famous Rockefeller Center Christmas tree. Opens in Oct
      • Ice Rink at Bryant Park: Located in Midtown, open from Oct - Mar, surrounded by holiday markets. Admission is free, but there is a charge for skate rental. 
      • Wollman Ice Rink: Located in Central Park, open from Oct-April, featured in numerous movies and TV shows. Admission and skate rental fees apply. 
      • The Rink at Brookfield Place: Located in Battery Park City and open from Nov to March. Views of the Hudson & NYC skyline. Free admission, charge for skates. 
      • Ice Rink at the Seaport: Located in Seaport district, open from Nov to March. Nice views of the East River and Brooklyn Bridge. Admission and skate rental fees apply. 
    • NYE Ball Drop: One of the most iconic New Year's Eve events in the world, the ball drop in Times Square attracts millions of people each year.
