NYC Event Planning Inspiration

• Lartusi: the private room in the wine cellar is my #1 fav private room in NYC. The space is perfect for up to 12 guests, especially for special occasions like bday dinners. 

• Milos: the private room at Milos can fit up to 20 people, so it is good for slightly bigger parties. Known for it's extensive wine list and seafood. Best private room in HY!

• Raoul's: This classic French bistro in SoHo has a private room that can accommodate up to 12 guests. Traditional French dishes and a great wine selection. 

• Amélie Wine Bar: This French wine bar in Greenwich Village has a private room that can accommodate up to 20 guests. They offer wine and small plates. 

• La Esquina: A Mexican restaurant in SoHo that can accommodate up to 25 guests. Located on the lower level with a separate bar and lounge area.   

• Bobo: A French-American restaurant in the West Village with a private room that can accommodate up to 18 guests. The private room is located on the second floor. 

• Peasant: An Italian restaurant in Nolita with a candle-lit wine cellar that can accommodate up to 35 guests. An intimate atmosphere!

• Le Bain: A rooftop bar and club with stunning views of the city skyline and a lineup of top DJs playing house, disco, and other dance music. I've been to holiday parties here. 

• The Chester: Located in the heart of Meatpacking, a trendy bar and restaurant to host birthday parties here. The staff is incredibly responsive via email. I usually book the back room with access to the bar via the window outside. 

• 310 Bowery: Located in NOHO, 310 Bowery has a fun bar scene, table service, & big TVs along the walls. Its a great place to host a winter birthday party, March Madness event, or superbowl watch party. Easy to book a group resy with no minimum spend. 

• Dewey's Pub: Located on 30th btwn 6th and 7th, Dewey's has the BEST dance floor area with the BEST music. Hosted several holiday parties here. Hidden gem! 

• Common Ground: Common Grounds has the BEST DJ and music. Rent out a table for you and your friends so that you can easily get into the bar. If you bring a big group of people your age, the bar suddenly seems not so young anymore!

• The Dream Hotel (South Tower Bedroom Suite):  A luxurious and spacious option that may be ideal for hosting a birthday party in the spring, summer, or early fall. It has an outdoor terrace that is incredible and can fit ~35 people.  

• 11 Howard in the Terrace Suite: Features a private terrace with sweeping views of the city and a separate living room area that can be used for entertaining. I've been here before for a Super Bowl party with 35 people and it felt very spacious. 

• Silent Disco:  Silent disco is a unique party experience where guests dance to music through wireless headphones instead of traditional speakers. Here's how it works:

               1. Guests are given a pair of wireless headphones that can tune into multiple channels.

               2. Each channel corresponds to a different DJ or genre of music.

               3. Guests can switch between the channels to listen to different music.

               4. Therefore, the music may be different than the person next to them.

• Picnic Set Up Companies in NYC & The Hamptons: this service sets up personalized pop-up picnics in parks all over the city. Here are a couple on my radar: 1)  The Hamptons Picnic Co; 2) The Picnic Collective; 3) Perfect Picnic NYC

• Hibachi to You:  "Hibachi To You" is a mobile hibachi catering service that provides on-site hibachi cooking at your event location. They bring their own hibachi grills and all necessary equipment, along with a trained hibachi chef to prepare the food in front of your guests. I've heard nothing but fabulous reviews, it is a must try!

• NYC Pizza Tour: Hire Bob's Pizza Tour to take you around to a couple local pizza spots, whether you want to make it a walking tour or hire a party bus. It's such a fun birthday party event with up to ~25 people able to join. We chose the bus option and went throughout the East Village and Brooklyn (Joe and Pat's, La Rose, & Fini) but a walking tour in the spring or fall just throughout one area like the West Village would also be fun!
